Session Guidelines

Two of the most important factors that facilitate change and growth are safety and willingness. You need to feel safe while working with me, and the aim is that your felt sense of safety and trust will grow as we work together. Please avail of my free complementary consultation before we begin any work together (by appointment only).

Each of us has the capacity for healing inside us. I am a facilitator, a guide, a catalyst. I accompany you on your journey. I do not heal you, you heal you. I can help you in creating the right conditions and ingredients that your body, mind and spirit need to heal themselves. Your needs and wants are extremely important and are fully welcomed in the work we do together. As therapy progresses, you will become more in tune with your needs, your wants, your intuition and your Yeses and Nos. Healing/recovery is also about reclaiming the parts of you that you might have disowned or dissociated from in order to survive.

• Each session lasts a full 60 minutes. 90 minute sessions can also be arranged.
• The intake form can be emailed before the first session. You can fill out as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. I would ask that you share any important information with me upfront.
• Please be on time for sessions. Sessions will end at the scheduled time.
• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know 24 hours beforehand.
• I prefer to communicate by email as it is easier for me to keep track of information. You can text me short messages and call me if there is an emergency.
Online or phone sessions:
• I use skype and zoom, which can be downloaded and used for free. Make sure you have a decent internet connection so we can communicate clearly.
• Ensure that you will be undisturbed and that you have enough privacy and safety to fully engage in the session.
• Please inform me beforehand if you wish to have someone else present during your session. This will be by prior agreement only.
• Please turn off/silence all devices so you can focus and get the full benefit of our work together.
• Please use a holder for cell/mobile phones and tablets as movements can distract you, the session and it enables you to have your hands free to tap.
• Let me know your preferences for video. Some people like to use video and some prefer not to.
• Feel free to ask me any questions you may have at any stage.
